HOW TO HEAR GOD VOICE
January 26, 2017
Ways to hearing God's voice
Stillness is one essential key in hearing God's voice, be still and know that He is God the psalmist said. Be comfortable, go to a quiet place where no one will disturb you, relax, remove everything from your mind, be peaceful. Read your bible and imagine yourself in a bible scene.
Fix your eyes on Jesus as he is present with you, the Bible says in Matthew 1 vs 23 and he will be called Emanuel which means God with us, believe he is with you and focuses. Let nothing distract you or shift your attention from the word of God and don't leave that place often until your done.

Vision is another step in hearing God's voice, Daniel saw visions. he saw it on the scene inside his mind. When your reading your bible put your self in that scene, picture it, imagine yourself communicating with Jesus or Mary, and Joseph. Left brainer's visions will not come regularly because your eyes are in your heart that how you see the spirit realm. you can always tell the Holy Spirit to tune your flow. Right brainers feel intuition (which means instinct) it is a spontaneous flow, you can call it the Jesus flow.

Journaling (which means writing things down) when you write things down the flow continues. For example when God gives you a word or a sentence you write it down, and before you know it you're already writing a paragraph or a page because the flow continues. You keep your eyes on Jesus and the flow will continue, also ask Jesus to talk to you and he will tune your flow. one other benefit of writing it down is that you will be able to test it now or later, 1 Thessalonians 5 vs 21 says 'prove all things and hold fast that which is good'. if you write it down you will be able to test it later and if it is good you will be able to hold on to it.

How do you test it? by applying the word of God. check if it goes along with what the word of God says and if it does not go along with what the word of God says, don't hold unto it but reject it.
When it is tested and the result is positive you will have to fight fear and unbelieve. Because you will have to believe that those pictures and words are from the Holy Spirit. Journaling is one of the ways the Holy Spirit leads. Habakkuk 2 vs 2 says 'write the vision and make it plain'.

How to train your spirit man
The spirit man is the eternal part of us. Man is a spirit, that possesses a soul and lives in a body. The spirit and the soul are eternal, for example when a man dies and goes to heaven is their spirit and soul that goes to heaven, the body remains on earth. the root of your senses is in your spirit man Luke 16 read the whole chapter; when the rich man died and went to hell, he lifted up his eyes being in torment and saw Abraham afar and Lazarus in Abraham's bosom.

In 1 Kings 6, Elijah being surrounded by the Syria Amy, he prayed unto God to open up the eyes of his servant so he can see. Elijah was not praying for his servant's physical eyes because his servant was not a blind man, but he was praying for his spiritual eyes. So you can see that the root of our senses is in our spirit man.

Sometimes you may be in a place and your spirit is heavy, you don't just feel fine or happy about the place: that is the effect on our body when the spirit is heavy. you don't know what's wrong but you're not feeling right about the place. That can also be called perceiving or discerning. That is one example of how your mind picks up things from your spirit. It may even be a person or a thing. Even if you do not see anything wrong in the physical leave that place, person or thing immediately without turning back no matter how enticing it may look.

Your spirit man can Hear, Taste, Feel, Touch, and Smell. Jesus' life story, when the woman with the issue of blood touched Jesus (God), God was being mobbed by the crowd but God felt power leave him. Now when Jesus asked his disciples ''who just touched me'' and they were wondering why he would ask that question being in a crowd?  He was referring to 'who touched his spirit' because the woman moved with faith he felt power leave him and the woman received her healing.
