KAIST Introduces 2024 Summer KAI-X Research Internship for Global Science Students

The KAIST Advanced Institute for Science-X (KAI-X) invites applications for its prestigious 2024 Summer Research Internship Program, dedicated to cultivating the future leaders of science. This highly competitive program welcomes third and fourth-year undergraduate students, as well as master’s students in natural sciences, from around the world.

Scheduled to run from June 24 to August 16, 2024, the eight-week program offers a unique opportunity for students specializing in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Brain & Cognitive Science, and Medical Science to participate in cutting-edge research projects. Hosted at the KAIST campus in South Korea, the program prioritizes interdisciplinary collaboration and innovative thinking.


Insights into the Application Process


Prospective interns have until March 31, 2024, to submit their applications to KAI-X. Application materials should include an application form, an activity plan essay, proof of enrollment, an official transcript, and a letter of recommendation. All applications must be sent via email to kai-x@kaist.ac.kr.

Perks of the Program

Selected participants will receive a comprehensive support package, including round-trip airfare of up to 1 million KRW and dormitory accommodation costs of up to 500,000 KRW. Interns will have the opportunity to work in their preferred laboratories, under the mentorship of KAIST’s esteemed faculty members.
